technical data specification

Product: Electrolytic fused zirconia

Chemical name: Zirconium oxide

Molecular formula: ZrO2

product description

Fused zirconia (ZrO) is a high-performance inorganic non-metallic material primarily derived from zircon sand (ZrSiO) through high-temperature melting and desiliconization in an electric arc furnace. It exhibits high melting point, strength, hardness, low thermal conductivity, wear resistance, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Depending on the manufacturing process and properties, it can be classified into monoclinic zirconia and stable zirconia.

physical property

High melting point (approximately 2715°C)

Phase transformation of crystal form can occur with temperature change, and the semi-stable product has outstanding thermal shock resistance.

High hardness (Mohs hardness: greater than 7.5)

Low thermal conductivity: 1.62.03 W/(m·K)

chemical property

Exhibits excellent corrosion resistance, capable of withstanding erosion by acids, alkalis, and molten metals

apply

Refractory materials: used in the production of AZS bricks, metallurgical tundishes, sliding plates, and refractory load-bearing plates.

Wear-resistant materials: Used in manufacturing wear-resistant products including grinding balls, liners, and rings.

Ceramic glaze pigments: Used in the production of prasea yellow, vanadium zirconium blue, vanadium zirconium yellow, and zirconium gray for ceramic glazes.

Advanced ceramics: Used in the production of ceramic brake pads, ceramic filters, ceramic rollers, and other specialized ceramic products.

Zirconium metal: Preparation of metal sponge zirconium for aerospace and military fields.

Security

Non-toxic, but there is a risk of inhalation in powder form; appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g. masks) is recommended when handling.

lay in
